TalkTalk Digital Voice is a utility app designed for TalkTalk customers using ultrafast broadband. With this app, users can make and receive calls using their TalkTalk landline number on their mobile phones.

Before using the app, users need to activate their TalkTalk account for app usage, which can be done by following the instructions provided in the email from TalkTalk.

All calls made through the app will be charged at the same rates as the TalkTalk service on the user's TalkTalk account. This means that call plans, such as Unlimited UK Calls or International Max, will be treated the same way, potentially offering free voice calls based on the user's tariff details. It's important to note that using the app for calls will consume mobile data, so mobile data rates will apply if used on a mobile network. However, users can also utilize Wi-Fi for making calls.

TalkTalk Digital Voice supports various voice services, including voicemail and CallSafe, which will function in the same way as they do on a phone connected to TalkTalk Digital Voice.

The app can be downloaded on up to five mobile phones, and users can access settings to control ringing and notifications through the app on each device.

It's worth mentioning that this app is not recommended for emergency call access. In case of dialing emergency numbers like 999, the app will automatically switch to the standard call handling service on the user's mobile handset, which requires mobile network coverage.
